On Tuesday, 30th July we had a guest speaker, Mr. M.Hali Aprimadya ,who taught us about Industry 4.0. He is works as Kepala sub bagian kerjasama Kementerian Riset Tehnologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi.
In the first session he told us about the general definition of Industry 4.0 and the differences between industry 1.0 until 4.0. He presented a diagram which shows the changes between the industries.

Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0 consists of automation, connection, cloud computing, IOT, big data (help people analyse), system integration, and artificial intelligence.
IMPACT TO INDONESIA
Next, he talked about the impact of the 4.0 industry to Indonesia.
Why is it important?
Because it is about connectivity, internet, commerce and e-commerce. Indonesia is considered as one of the high potential entrants in the industry. The government made a program called "Making Indonesia 4.0" to follow the trends in the industry.
Making Indonesia 4.0 has 5 fields that they prioritized which are,
- food beverage
- textile and apparel
- automotive
- electronics
- chemical
why are these their priority? because..
- 60% of manufacturing GDP
- 65% of manufacturing exports
- 60% of manufacturing workers
Lastly he lectured about another program which is..

"Learning from history shows that technology adoption has led to large employment and also create new jobs."
Lastly he showed us the diagram above about making a start up. The main points of starting start ups are strengthen demand, life-long learning, modernize the education system and build for skills, not jobs.
His presentation gave me more insights about the current Industry 4.0. I am very grateful to have learn a lot of knowledge about the on going industry from him. This will help me survive in the creative industry 4.0.
