Pasar Seni

For the decorating Pasar Seni event, my group's task was to make a decoration for the wall behind the platform. We made a decoration that relates to Betawi culture.

We cut out cardboards into circles with different sizes.

The cardboards were coated with a white colored wall paint, in order to create a contrast between the background and the decoration.

Before pasting the decorations, we made a digital sketch to find out where to out the colors best.

Then we make the kembang kelapa look alike decoration from the sticks of sapu lidi and crepe papers with an ambience of Betawi colors.

Lastly, we stick them onto the white carboard cut outs.

Paper Craft - Paper Layering

For this assignment, we were asked to make a paper layering craft with the theme nature

I cut all the papers into the shapes that I sketched. I also left a 2 cm space for the framing.

Next, I sticked the foam tape onto the back side of the paper. With these, the layers can be seen better.

This is for the branches that is on the second layer.

I also layered the parrot's wings.

Comping

In this class we learnt how to combine papers using a ribbon. We learnt different ways and styles of comping.

Firstly, I arranged the paper using a clip to make it equal and steady.

Then I make holes using a needle so that the ribbons can be inserted.

Next, I inserted the holes following the instructions on the guide and tie it at the end.
